How it works
Counselling in York & the UK that helps you move forward
In 3 simple steps
Your First Session
A calm, introductory chat to understand what you need and ask any questions. There’s no expectation to commit; it’s just space to see if this feels right. You decide the next step.
Your First Session
A calm, steady first meeting where you can share what’s been going on at a pace that feels manageable. You don’t need to prepare anything; we simply begin where you are.
Ongoing Support
Regular sessions shaped around your needs, communication style and pace, guided by you at all times. Support can be in York, online or by telephone, adjusting as things change.
Types Of Sessions
Telephone Counselling
Allows you to talk from a private space that feels comfortable. This option works well if you prefer not to be on camera or if you find it easier to speak without being seen. All sessions remain confidential and secure. We offer telephone counselling throughout the UK; however, please enquire if you are based overseas.
Online Counselling
Takes place via Google Meet, a secure and encrypted platform. You simply need a quiet, private space for your session. Online therapy allows us to see each other and makes it easy for us to share resources, diagrams, or techniques during the session. This service is available across the UK; however, please enquire for overseas availability.
Face-to-face Counselling
We offer face‑to‑face sessions in our welcoming office in central York, just a short walk from the city centre. The building dates back to the 1800s and includes beautiful original features, such as a gold spindle staircase. When you arrive, a friendly receptionist will greet you, and you’ll find a waiting area, toilet facilities, and free water dispensers.
Book a Free Consultation
Finding the right therapist matters; feeling genuinely understood matters even more.
Whether you’re looking for a therapist near me in York or support from anywhere in the UK, we offer steady, affirming help.
Take the first step and get in touch for a free, no-obligation initial conversation.
