Counsellor & Psychotherapist | Adults | Face-to-face, Online & Telephone
I am an integrative relational psychotherapist, which means I believe that our past relationships shape how we think, feel, and relate to others in the present. These experiences can influence how we see ourselves and how we move through the world, sometimes showing up as unspoken expectations or confusing patterns in our relationships.

At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. Relational psychotherapy uses this therapeutic connection to understand and gently heal emotional distress. Through our conversations, I listen carefully to your experiences and aim to understand your perspective and way of being.
As therapy unfolds, we may also explore how our relationship develops, because this can offer insight into patterns that appear in your life outside our sessions. By noticing these dynamics, you can deepen your awareness of how you connect with others. Many clients describe me as calm, understanding, accepting and supportive, which helps create a steady foundation for this work.
I support adults aged 18 and over who may be struggling with their emotions or finding it difficult to cope. This often includes anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, intrusive thoughts or trauma. Although these experiences can feel isolating, therapy offers a space to explore them with care and curiosity.
Neuro‑affirming therapy shaped around your individuality, pace and lived experience
Alongside relational work, I offer neuro‑affirmingtherapy shaped around your individuality, pace and lived experience. With over 30 years’ experience in helping professions, I have supported people living with chronic health conditions and pain, traumatic loss and bereavement, and those exploring identity. Because every person processes the world differently, I approach each client with acceptance and respect for their unique way of being.
I also have a particular interest in the connection between mind and body. Many people notice anxiety, a critical inner voice or physical symptoms linked to stress or trauma. In our sessions, we gently explore how both mind and body respond to protect you during difficult experiences. This may involve developing awareness of bodily sensations, emotional responses and natural reactions to challenge.
There is no pressure to find the “right words” or to fully understand what you are feeling. If things feel unclear or intense, that’s okay. Together, we move at your pace, exploring your experiences in a way that feels safe, manageable and grounded.
