Adult Therapy

A space to talk, reflect, and make sense of things

Our adult therapy offers a steady, supportive space to talk, reflect and make sense of what’s going on for you. Adults come to therapy for many reasons – sometimes because something feels overwhelming, sometimes because something feels missing, and sometimes because life has shifted in ways that are hard to navigate alone.

Sessions are collaborative, grounded and shaped around what feels manageable and meaningful in your life right now. There is no pressure to go deeper or faster than feels safe. Instead, we work at your pace, focusing on what feels most relevant and supportive for you.

Many people come to therapy with experiences such as anxiety, trauma responses, burnout (including autistic and ADHD burnout), grief and loss, relationship difficulties or challenges shaped by early family roles and expectations. In addition, some clients are exploring identity, self‑connection or navigating periods of change and transition.

You don’t need to have everything clearly defined to begin. Therapy can be a space to explore patterns, emotions and experiences gently, whether you’re seeking relief, understanding or a stronger sense of yourself.

Person‑centred approaches are widely recognised in therapeutic practice, as described by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Focus Areas Include:

  • Anxiety
  • Trauma responses
  • Burnout (including autistic/ADHD burnout)
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationships and communication
  • Dysfunctional family roles (scapegoat, golden child, parentification, etc.)
  • Identity and self‑connection
  • Life transitions

Alongside a person‑centred foundation, integrative elements such as somatic awareness, creative work or sleep‑related insights may be offered where helpful. These are always optional and guided by what feels useful for you – never as a requirement or expectation.

Adult therapy can also support you in building emotional understanding, resilience and a stronger sense of yourself.
