I provide a safe and supportive space where you can talk freely, understand yourself better, and make positive changes.

Taking The First Step Is Courageous

Life can be unpredictable, but together, you can choose how to respond to its challenges.

Confidential, person-centred counselling

Welcome to Supportive Counselling

Supportive Counselling in Riccall believes that everyone deserves to live a happy and fulfilling life. Through a humanistic, person-centred approach, I provide a safe and supportive space where you can talk freely, understand yourself better, and make positive changes. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, helping you realise your full potential.

Life can be unpredictable, but together, you can choose how to respond to its challenges. My compassionate, non-judgmental approach will help you embrace acceptance and harness your power of choice, guiding you to handle whatever comes your way.

I offer counselling for a wide range of issues, including abuse, anxiety, bereavement, chronic stress, depression, childhood trauma, emotional imbalances, and self-esteem concerns. I also have a special interest in working with neurodivergent individuals and their families. I work with both men and women, believing that seeking help during difficult times is a sign of strength. I have supported many clients in overcoming limiting beliefs and traumatic experiences, empowering them to achieve positive change.

I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer counselling tailored to your preferences, whether you prefer face-to-face sessions, online meetings, phone calls, or a combination. You have the flexibility to adapt your therapy as your circumstances change.

Free Consultation

I offer a FREE 30-minute consultation via phone or Google Meet. Reach out for an informal chat and ask any questions you might have. Finding the right counsellor is crucial, and there’s no pressure to book an appointment.

Recent Questions

What happens in the free consultation chat?

We talk about what has made you decide to look for counselling and what you would like to get from it. This helps us see if counselling is the right thing for you. You can ask as many questions as you want in this call, and if you want to book in, you can, if not you can go away and think about it. There’s no pressure or expectation for you to book straight in at the end of the call.

What do I do if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel a session, please let me know as soon as you can. I do not charge for a cancellation that has been made over 24 hours prior the session. If you notify me in less than 24 hours prior to the session that you can’t attend the session fee will still apply.

Will counselling with you be recorded in my medical history with my GP?

Your contact with Supportive Counselling is completely confidential, and we don’t inform your GP that you’ve had counselling with us. The only exception would be if we ever had serious concerns about your safety or the safety of others. Even then, we would handle the situation with great care and involve you as much as possible in any decisions.
